Team NOMAD had our first full workshop weekend! NOMAD is glad to be back in full swing, and to move forward in the design process. While staring at computer screens and cracking jokes, the CAD subteam is working hard to design bumpers and the robot drive base. The Mechanical team, while patiently waiting for the CAD designs, are focusing on prototyping and building field materials for shooting practice. On the opposite side of the workshop, the business team is analyzing the 2022 awards list and is making progress on this year’s Technical Binder.
When Team NOMAD isn’t working on the robot, meal breaks provide team members with an excellent opportunity to spend time together. While chowing down on pizza and tacos, conversations range all the way from Singin’ in the Rain to deadly hippos! After all is said and done, the team is ready to jump back into the workshop! NOMAD can’t wait to see how the robot designs progress over the next few weeks. Here at NOMAD HQ, there’s a perfect combo of hard work and fun!
