We are a community-based FIRST® Robotics Competition team serving high school students in the San Diego area.

Our team leader and his family lived in Australia from 2013-2017 where they were involved in FRC Team 5584, ICRobotics. When they returned to the States, they wanted to continue participating in FIRST competitions, but their son was unable to join an existing FRC team.

In September of 2017, FRC Team 6995 NOMAD was born. Our workshop is located in Escondido in our team leader’s garage. We started off our rookie year with seven students and won the Highest Rookie Seed Award at the San Diego Regional in March 2018. In 2019 we managed to win our regional with the help of Team 987, HIGHROLLERS and Team 3647, Millennium Falcons, qualifying for the World Championships we then attended in Houston in April. As of 2021, we now have over twenty students and are looking forward to an exciting, in-person year of competition!
