Welcome to FRC Team NOMAD!

Who We Are
FRC Team 6995 NOMAD is a community-based team based in Escondido, California. We were founded in 2018 to provide robotics opportunities for students from diverse educational backgrounds. Our team typically consists of 15-20 students from various school settings, including homeschool, charter, public, and private schools.
Goals
1. Equip students with the mechanical, software, CAD, and business skills necessary to confidently tackle the objectives they set during the build and competition seasons.
2. Promote student autonomy through our “Baby Bot” program. In this initiative, students take home an FTC-sized robot to code independently, giving them the freedom to experiment, solve problems, and hone their programming skills outside of team meetings.
3. Grow our STEM field trips for 3rd-5th graders at the San Diego Regional, increasing the number of participating schools and engaging more students in hands-on STEM activities. We plan to follow up these field trips with informational nights about FIRST LEGO League (FLL) to establish more FLL teams in our region.
